This was a Harley inspired birthday cake for a milestone birthday. The motorcycle was made from rice krispie squares and covered in fondant. The cake was a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream.
I made this rose cake for my mom’s birthday. It was a butter pecan cake with caramel icing. Next time I would airbrush it pink.
With the summer coming to a close and hockey season soon approaching, I wasn’t surprised when I had a request for cupcakes with a Toronto Maple Leafs Theme
There are so many things I love about the summer but there is something about flip flops and a beach that screams vacation and so do these cake pops.
Over the past 15 years many of us have often wondered if I was a Carrie, a Charlotte, a Miranda or a Samantha. I was devastated when my four gorgeous friends left the air and I have waited patiently to see them again in each of the movies. It might be a while before there is another sequel but this weekend I felt like I got to spend some time with my favourite ladies once again when a client asked for a Sex and the City themed bridal shower cake.
This was a red velvet cake with cookies and cream buttercream. The shoe, lime, pearls and ring box were edible. I am sure there were plenty of cosmos at the bridal shower but this martini glass was filled with jello instead.
These sunflowers, hydrangea and roses make up the yummiest garden I have ever tasted.
These vanilla bumblebees were decorated with fondant, and white chocolate wings. The chocolate ladybugs were decorated with black fondant spots and a junior mint face. They were the perfect addition to a very special uncle and cousin’s birthday celebration.
What screams summer more than strawberry shortcake…strawberry shortcake cupcakes. When I saw that fresh Ontario strawberries had arrived at my local farmers market, I could wait to find a recipe that screamed STRAWBERRIES. These fluffy vanilla cupcakes were filled with a fresh strawberry preserve, topped with strawberry buttercream and finished off with a fresh strawberry. MMMM!!!
